1. Klonopin. Even though I woke up at 2 a.m., took one of those lovely sweet amazing pills, and still stayed up until about 5:30 a.m. anyway, but I was so relaxed and comfy until I finally did fall back asleep, which never would have happened without it.

2. Tackled a project I've been meaning to do for a while now: organize my cupboards, including removing the doors to them. Why? Because they are a darker wood and I really like the effect that taking the doors off does to the kitchen: it really lightens it up and makes the space feel more open. Plus, you don't have to keep opening and shutting the doors while you're cooking things (which happens a LOT in this house), especially since they have one of those malfunctions where you shut one door, and *poof* another one opens...

Here's the beginning of this project (I wanted to add some color instead of the original product packaging in there, enter mod-podge and scrapbook paper):

And the end result:

3. Upon realizing that our calendar was still on March, I noticed that my son (in his handwriting!) wrote down my birthday on it, after I wrote his down! Can you believe I didn't notice it until now? AWE! He is SO SWEET!

That's me making record of his birthday.

And that's T's handwriting! AWE, BUNNY! I freakin' LOVE you, kid!

Bonus: silly doodles on the back of my parents' belated "Happy Spring" card,

...and I've also somewhat forgiven Dutch for his egg carnage yesterday.

    1. Thanks Rachel! But, they aren't early finished. My ultimate goal is to set fabric-covered-foam-board against the back wall, with a very pretty, bright, and colorful pattern to fill the white space with. I feel like this will guide the eye to the colors and hopefully disregard it from seeing all the imperfections of this kitchen...To clarify, though, this kitchen really doesn't have any "imperfections"; it's an ample space and the possibilities are endless...I just want to make sure I'm doing all the right stuff.
